Dropped in here on the way to Bradgate Park. What a surprise, great coffee and very welcoming. We will certainly be back when we are in the area again. 10/10

I have been eating at the Post Office Tearooms, along with four or five friends, every Sunday for a number of years now and I can honestly say none of us has EVER had a cause for complaint.

In addition, my daughter and some other friends go there on a regular basis and I know that they share the same view.

“An Oasis of Friendliness”

As a very frequent visitor to our lovely Bradgate Park, there is only one way to complete the experience--that is a visit to the Post Office Tea Rooms.

The quality of the food and drinks on offer is first class but the jewel in the crown is the friendiness of the staff. Although usually working hard to serve and clear tables, they always find time to make one feel welcome. There are times when things get very busy, but the enthusiasm of the staff is obvious and the quality of the fare served, makes any wait worthwhile.

Long may the Post Office Tea Rooms prosper

“Friendly Tea Room with Great Scones!”

My friends and I are always walking at the weekends in and around the Bradgate Park area and to end off our walks we always treat ourselves to a scone and cappuccino.

The service from the young waitresses is excellent (especially Molly) and they always greet you with a friendly smile. The scones are delicious especially if you are lucky enough to get one warm from the oven. I would highly recommend a stop off here for sure.

The Post Office Tea Rooms in Newtown Linford was recommended to us by friends, and with thanks because the experience was truly refreshing.

The service at the counter was, and has been exceptional. Their cappuccino's are the best we've experienced, the food menu is simple and comfortably within their scope, and their homemade cakes and truffles are of an exceptional high standard, and I believe a speciality of this establishment.

Our son Toby has learning difficulties and disabilities so having experienced less than helpful service at similar establishments in our time we were pleasantly surprised how accommodating both the owners and their staff were with Toby; special thanks to Molly for topping up Toby's chocolate milkshake.

All in all, great service, good value, and we hope to return in the near future.

“A Nice Friendly Place for Coffee or Lunch”
4 of 5 stars
Reviewed 22 December 2013

We started visiting the Post Office Tea rooms a few years ago when our daughter worked there, and we now often go there for a panini and coffee on a Sunday lunchtime.

It is particularly nice when the weather allows us to sit in the garden at the back, but in less clement weather there is plenty of seating upstairs.

There is a good range of food and the service is very friendly. For a special treat try one of the home made chocolates.

My family and lots of friends have been visiting the Tea Rooms for about 5 years now, the staff are friendly and professional and the Cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating.

They serve anything from breakfast to lunches and also bake their own cakes, and make their own truffles and all kinds of drinks and lovely fresh coffee..!

So this place is great after a nice walk through Bradgate Park.

“Friendly Staff and Gorgeous Scones”

I have been eating/drinking here for the last couple of years at least. Its a quaint cafe with a lovely outside eating area and a cosy inside.

The owners are very friendly as are the waitresses. It took only a short time to be on first name terms with all the staff. I feel like I am going 'home' when I visit. If I visit without my Dad the waitresses will always ask if he is ok.

The scones are delightful, served with Jam and cream, mmmmmmmmmmm.

A lovely place to go after a stroll on Bradgate Park. I would strongly recommend a visit.

A lovely friendly place where the staff are very obliging, I really enjoyed my freshly brewed coffee and delicious " to die for" slice of cake. I've also enjoyed various sandwiches and Panini's, served impeccably and without too long waiting.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Tea Rooms for a good value bite to eat after a walk in the park!!!!
